Guidance on a Polymorus/Homosexual relationship
Q: I really need help with some answers. I'm really struggling to find out who I am and want to be. I've minute I'm Christian, and the next minute I'm saying I'm a homosexual. I'm also currently dating my best friend and her husband, so a threesome or polymorus relationship.
I'm trying to figure out if homosexuality wrong. If it is, Why am I feeling this way? What can I do or where do I start for answers?
A: The simple answer is that you have those desires and feelings because humanity is trapped in a sin nature, because of the Fall in Eden [at the begining]. This is where man lost the righteous nature. Jesus was promised and has come to restore what was lost. And all who come to him for salvation and righteousness are redeemed & restored.
From a biblical perspective, the Bible [which is God's Word to mankind] clearly declares sinners will live in wickedness because its all they can do. So they desire more and more and also gravitate to specific sins. The Bible reveals [the relational and sexual] design for humanity is that sexual activity is "only to be within the bounds of a heterosexual marriage". Key passages to look at include Genesis 2:24, where God clearly outlines marriage as a union between a man and a woman, and Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1:26-27, Hebrews 13:4, and Jesus [God in the flesh] reconfirmed this in the New Testament (Matthew 19:4-6: “Have you not read that from the beginning ...”). So, yes fornication, all sexual deviancy, anything lgbt+, homosexual acts and polyamorous relationships (such as being in a threesome) as well as adultry, are viewed as in wicked "opposition" to God and righteousness. The Scriptures clearly to address such same-sex and multiple partner relationships (fleeting or ling lasting including ones in sham "marriages") as rebellion, abomination and outside God's design for humans. He warned that those who live in sin [including sexual sin] will be damned to Hell. And calls everyone to repent and turn to God, to be forgiven and have eternal life in Jesus.
In light of these truths, it's important to consider several things:
1. **Self-Reflection and Repentance**: Reflect on your actions and their alignment with biblical teachings. Repentance in Christian theology involves acknowledging one's sins, seeking forgiveness, and striving to live in accordance with God's will.
2. **Biblical Teachings**:
We are to turn to God to be made right by Jesus and live righteous holy life as we were designed to do. That begins by obeying the Gospel.
3. **Ending the Relationship**:
If your relationship conflicts with biblical principles, it is necessary for the sake of your spiritual well-being and that of others involved, [and your eternal destination], to end the relationship and seek to re-align your life to what God teaches in Scripture about holy living. Do break off that relationship and break off contact with them to remove any further temptations to sin. Jesus said "Go and sin no more." We do not continue in sin if we are living in God's design for our lives.
4. **Seek Guidance and Support**:
Engage God in prayer, seek counsel from a trusted pastor or Christian counselor, and involve yourself in a faith community that can support you as you obey the Gospel and put your sinful desires and lifestyles in the past. Scripture says of the born again "such WERE some of you" and "the old is gone the New has come".
5. **Personal Growth**:
Focus on understanding your identity in Christ and exploring what it means to live a life that honors God. This involves prayer, reading and understanding what God wants us to know from the Bible, being a member of a local church, worshipping & growing in faith there, serving God there, and building relationships with others who share your faith [you will be with them in eternity๐, and partner with them on earth now to share the Gospel and true love of God].
Here are some helps that will bless and guide you as you realign your life:
1.Understand your Identity. (see mans purpose here too).
2. To the first point at the beginning, God designed us to be in a relationship that is one man one woman only. And as fallen people we do whats wrong (until we get saved in Jesus) then we are told "such WERE some of you", so having now the righteousness of Christ we have no desire for the things of sin but of holiness and Christlikeness.
Then this will help understanding further the errors unsaved have [regarding lgbt+], and explains the truth we are to recieve and believe. It has good helpful answers. But you don't need to go through this to obey the Gospel and start living right. Its just helpful for correcting errors that lgbt+ people have.
The Gospel message is linked there also, and I ask you to take a look at it. It helps clearly understand. Its important.
Here is another point, Scripture says:
"They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them." Romans 2:15
It appears you are still listening to your conscience, and the fact that you inquired about this to a Christian means you are likely being drawn by God. This is good news ๐:
"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out". John 6:37
In Jeremiah 29:13, God promised if "You will seek Me and you will find Me when you search for Me with all of Your Heart"
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” Romans 10:17.
So look into whats in the links here (above) and humbly ask God to lead you to truth so you can submit to it (agree and follow). ๐⭐
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
“For He [God the Father] made [Jesus in the flesh] Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, [take our sin punishment on the cross] that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” [made right with God]. 2 Corinthians 5:21
It takes a revelation to see what the grace of God has provided us who only deserve death damnation and eternal wrath for our sins. And so rightly while the offer is available... we should run from God's wrath to Jesus for salvation. I hope you will you today.๐
"Have you not heard, if any man is in Christ he is a new creature old has pass away all things have become new". 2 Corinthians 5:17
After you do that, you can go to the Growing Believers section and start growing in and living life as God designed us to. You will have a heart that desires to do that because you love God, and the Savior who did what he did for you.
Once saved...
Philippians 2:12 says, "therefore... workout your salvation with fear and trembling". Actively seek to kill and conquer sin in your life wherever it is, so you can align to God's Word and live righteously (reflecting God's holiness) day by day until he takes you home to Heaven for eternity.
I hope this has helped and blessed you.
God be with you.
